Troubleshooting connection issues
- Cannot resolve hostname. Check the spelling, restart Minecraft, then try public DNS like 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8.
- Outdated client. Run a Java version listed under 26.1, 26.1.1, 26.1.2. Bedrock and MCPE require their current retail versions.
- Console privacy block. Xbox and PlayStation accounts must allow third-party servers in privacy settings.
- Mod conflict. If a modded client fails, test once with vanilla to isolate the issue.
